Hua Hin Getaway - The Beach and the Train Station

We had finally reached our destination! I had no high expectations due to the fact that it is a touristy area.  Don't get me wrong. I love to be around people but I prefer solitude when I get away from the hustle and bustle of city life ( I live in Bangkok). Something like the places where I lodged in Koh Chang, Koh Samui, Krabi  and Aunty Z's house where I enjoyed the privacy fully. For me, nothing beats a place where I can find time to contemplate, relax and rejuvenate.

The beach was packed.Probably all the mothers were here to celebrate with their families.

The seats here are not free. Anyone who wishes to sit should order. The chairs  are owned by the open air restaurant operators. We checked the menu and nothing was interesting. But we needed to sit and relax our tired feet so we ordered anyway. We had a plan. Order appetizers there and get the main course in the Italian Restaurant we passed by.

 Some cashew nuts were burned. The burnt taste was obvious.

My cousin ordered tuna salad. Being near the sea, she expected to eat fresh fish. She was disappointed to learn that canned tuna was used instead. This was way too hot  I only had 2 spoons.

It did not take  long when the sun set. We left the beach to get Italian meal.

On the corner of Damnernkasem Road is this Italian place called Pizza Da Roberto.

M and my sis ordered banana and watermelon smoothies respectively. The three of us did not order any drinks as we wanted to get them  outside.

M and I ordered half salami (for her) and half funghi pizza (for me).The crust was like the one I had at Mak Mak Restaurant on Koh Chang.

My cousin ordered pasta. A very simple dish but the flavor was delightful.

Aunty and sis shared vegetarian pizza.

We commenced our "walkathon" to visit one of the oldest train stations in Thailand.If you are in Hua Hin, this spot is a must see.

Below was the Royal Waiting Room that was used to welcome the king and his entourage when visiting the town.

I was about to try how loud the bell rings  when I saw the sign " Do Not Ring The Bell". The bell is rung by the station staff to indicate an arriving or departing train.Truthfully it was my first time seeing it at a train station.
