Le Cabanon French Restaurant at Fisherman's Village - Bophut, Koh Samui
Choosing Le Cabanon from numerous restaurants which lined the streets of Fisherman's Village was a right decision. We loved the food. The staff were attentive and helpful. The restaurant is on the beach so any diners can get to enjoy the ocean breeze while eating.
The menu is both in French and English languages which is kinda cool. Reading the words reminded me of my French culinary school days. Fruit like ananas, pomme, mangue were familiar words.
All of us ordered mango shake. A friend who is a mango shake critic was not satisfied with our drink. She prefers the sweet/sour taste that lingers in the mouth as you drink it.
We ordered three dishes and they were more than enough for us. The spaghetti carbonara came with a salad and grated parmesan cheese on the side. The pasta were sufficiently coated with white sauce. It was delish!
We also had pizza with eggplant topping. The melt-in-the-mouth eggplant and the right thickness of dough made the pizza the star of our dinner at Le Cabanon.
Another reason to go back is their crispy vegetable tempura. I was too occupied munching and discussing how good the pizza and pasta were that I forgot about it. I know tempura is best eaten when hot. I ate it last. It was still good even it's cold.
The food was good. All our plates were clean when we left. That's how much we enjoyed dinner at Le Cabanon.
