Brownie Cheesecake |
My friend and I had a busy late afternoon a couple days before she left for Japan. We had meal together one more time. We went shopping, got our massage and hit up the cafe she'd been telling me about. We were there for different reasons. For her, she needed to satisfy her sweet tooth. Oh yes, she's addicted to anything sweet. For me, I was more interested to see the design of the cakes than to taste it. I am new in the baking business so a trip to a bakeshop would help me come up with fresh ideas on cake decoration.
She is a coffee drinker. I haven't met anyone who drinks as much coffee as she does. It's almost my bedtime (I go to bed at 8 ). I was ready to hit the sack but my friend was wide awake. This was her third cup in just 3.5 hours.

If my friend is a big fan of coffee, I am the opposite. I like tea. I ordered matcha green tea for myself. I got a huge pot and enjoyed every sip.
Saki has tasted almost everything at the cafe. This time she went for brownie cheesecake, one of her favorites.
I couldn't decide on what to get. I was divided between tiramisu, coconut and pandan cake and crepe cake. In the end I chose the latter. I couldn't recall how long ago it was when I had crepe cake. I didnt think I had chocolate crepe cake before so I grabbed the opportunity and try it for myself. Thin chocolate crepe filled with fluffy whipped cream.
While waiting for our orders, I took time to take pictures of all the cakes on display. I had fun analyzing each.
My recent experience with macaron made me cringe when I saw these. I need to overcome my fear.
If gelato is your thing, they have an extensive range of flavors to choose from.
Cream Cafe is only a few meters away from Central Festival in Chaweng. They provide free wi-fi so you can stay connected while there.
